Use Case Driving Licence Theory Exam

A driving school in Ontario needed to automate application and test-taking processes for the DL theory exam and move from paper-based to computer-based testing. Before implementing YouTestMe GetCertified, candidates were required to bring documentation and pay the exam fee in-person at the testing center and take the theory test at physical locations.

Using YouTestMe GetCertified services, a driving school wanted to lighten the workload and simplify the process through a custom-built SAAS platform.

Four different testing sessions were organized:

Paper-based exam at a testing center with 32 seats and a fee of $50

Online exam in Toronto Virtual Room, with proctors monitoring 80 candidates in real-time, and with no registration fee

Online exam with automated proctoring, self-enrollment, open testing window, and a fee of $30

Exam available only to the Premium Group members that pay their membership fees in advance

Automate your examination process

1. Set up Timetable

Determine the number of forthcoming sessions, set the date, and the designated start and end times. An unlimited number of testing sessions can be scheduled for a particular test, each adapted to the specific testing environment.

2. Choose Locations

Define the physical and virtual locations where your exams will be delivered and associate them with their time zones. Exams can be conducted remotely, from candidates’ homes and at testing centers worldwide. We offer complete flexibility of exam delivery to ensure optimal service for both test providers and candidates.

3. Define Capacities

If the examination is performed at a physical location (e.g., testing center, classroom) or supervised by a certified proctor, you can determine the session’s maximum seating capacity.

4. Configure Enrollment Options

Instead of assigning each candidate to a session, you can enable a self-enrollment option. Candidates can sign up for the specific testing session by registering in-person in the testing center or online, from a computer or smartphone. In the case of online registration, geocoding will offer the nearest examination center for booking.

5. Include Examination Fee

Optionally, include a registration and cancelation fee or the compensation to be paid for rescheduling exams or any other privileges, such as additional training courses or exam preparation materials. YouTestMe GetCertified software has a user-friendly interface and supports payments with credit and debit cards.

6. Set Booking and Cancelation Deadlines

Specify dates and times by which the candidates can register and cancel their applications.

7. Employ Proctoring Services

Each testing session may be supervised differently, depending on the testing environment and the degree of control it requires. You can choose between Automated or Live Proctoring solutions, or use both, as well as between local or certified proctors.

8. Protect Exam Session

If the session is conducted in a specific institution, you can define the range of IP addresses the candidates can start the test from or define a password they should enter to start that session.

9. Automate Reporting Services

Regardless of how or where the exam is delivered, the test results can be streamlined into one record for your convenience. Furthermore, once the test is completed, the candidates and the test providers are promptly informed of the results and delivered the reports by email.
