If you’re experiencing issues with your camera during a test, follow these steps to troubleshoot:
For Google Chrome:
- Click the three dots icon in the top right corner of your browser window.
- Navigate to “Settings”.
- On the left side, select “Security and Privacy”.
- Select “Site Settings”.
- Click on “Camera” under the “Permissions” section.
- Confirm that the test-taking application is allowed to use your camera. If not, select the application and allow camera usage.
For Mozilla Firefox:
- Click the three lines icon in the top right corner of your browser window.
- Navigate to “Settings”.
- On the left side, select “Privacy & Security”.
- Scroll down to find camera settings and click on the “Settings” button.
- Confirm that the test-taking application is allowed to use your camera. If not, select the application and allow camera usage.
In addition, you can also allow camera usage in your computer’s settings:
- In the search box in the bottom left corner of your screen, enter “camera”.
- Open “Camera privacy settings”.
- Confirm that camera usage is allowed.
- Scroll down the page and confirm that camera usage is permitted for the browser you are using for taking a test.
If none of these solutions work, you may want to consider using an external camera or another laptop.
